Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak and response of world prosperous community

On 31st December 2019 world has been alert by the report of the first coronavirus victim from Wuhan city in the people republic of china. Initially, the global community response toward the outbreak is normal and no one knows that this disease will kill thousands of people around the world. According to the WHO updated coronavirus outbreak situation report - 36, globally 80239 confirmed cases are reported and 2700 deaths are confirmed.

This disease has been separated into 33 countries around the world and we have nothing in our hands to stop from further propagation, except struggle to invent the cure of unknown disease (virus) or prevent the human to human transmission.

The countries like China which have approx. 15% world trade share is now isolating from the world and approx. 50 countries have stopped trade and human transportation with china - It is now eminent from the global economic indicators include oil prices lowering, gold prices increase, and stock market decreasing rates, if remain the same for the next few months the world will face economic catastrophe which ultimately increases inflation and scarcity of food, medical supplies and other needs of life.

Now the question is that are we ready to cope with the next level of consequences due to the epidemic disease?

To respond to this question let talk about the response of the global community toward the preparedness and response plan. The WHO announced its Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan with financial resources requirement of US$675m, of which US$61.5m is for urgent preparedness and response activities for the period of February to April 2020.

With this announcement, we saw that 1^st world countries, INGOs and prosper people came forward and contribute to this Nobel cause which inspired us and give us hope that together we can save the world and humanity. The donors/contributor whom name must be included in my blog are listed below and the world global community paid the warmest attribute to these;

We hope with these financial resources the WHO will get success to execute preparedness and response plan and save many innocent lives.

Further, It is important to mention here that the prosper countries and people who not can play their role must come forward with their resources to fight against nCOC-19.
